صحف نت - The UN envoy to Yemen, Martin Griffiths, revealed the desire of the legitimate government and the coupist militia to return to negotiations, which had been suspended since August 2016.
He said that he met President Abd Rabbo Mansour Hadi in Aden and Mohamed Abdel Salam, the chief Houthi negotiator in Muscat Griffith said in an interview with UN Radio that both sides confirmed their willingness to come to the table. He said the talks are long overdue as two years had passed since the recent talks on Yemen.
He said he would like to bring the warring parties together in the next few weeks.
Yemeni observers rule out any serious talks since Houthis is a theocratic group that intends to fight to the end to continue to rule the territories in their hands.
